Botanica Nahualli

Botanica Nahualli is a decolonial collective consisting of U.S.-based scholars, artists, and nepantleres (liminal beings) who turn toward spirituality and art in search of rēsistance and liberation. The collective embarks on projects that seek to bring people closer to the Earth and to each other by imagining a more equitable future that could exist in the future.

PROjects

• Wachale Cineteca, a cinematheque in East Los Angeles which critical spectatorship central to its format.

• Cine Nepantla, an academic cinematheque at UC Berkeley which turns to the archives to uncover strategies of rēsistance.

• Mendo Muscle, a bodybuilding hub for every-body. It is a registered transgender safe space in Ukiah, California that offers smoothies, supplements, a cafe, and community. Mendo Muscle is 100% employee-owned.

• Rooted Goods, a project that disrupts real estate practices designed to exclude or otherwise harm marginalized communities.
